Late in 2013 I swam 250 laps in my quest to raise money for 'kids in need'.
This year I have extended my swimming goal to a demanding 300 laps (or 15 kms), within the 12 hours allowed on the day. I am certainly not fitter than last time but just as determined to achieve my goal on behalf of the kids.
I intend 'giving it a good shake' and am aiming to raise $5000 in the process.
One of the swimmers accompanying me this year is swimming legend Duncan Armstrong, who made a withering burst to win Olympic Gold. I am concerned I might drown in his wake and accordingly may have to swim with a mask and snorkel.
Hopefully, with your kind help, and that of others, I can achieve my fund raising goal.
The swim is a small sacrifice for me, compared to the pain and hardship so many of these brave little kids go through on a daily basis.
The swim is on Saturday 28th March.
